The moment that changed everything for me—and maybe for you!
Years ago, as a young exercise physiologist--yes, that's me with the big hair--I was watching a patient finish up his workout for the day when I overheard my co-worker say:
"Keep an eye on your blood sugar—it’ll keep dropping for several hours."

That comment stuck with me.

If exercise alone could have that kind of effect on blood sugar, what else could?

Since that time, I've been on a mission to uncover the most effective ways to lower blood sugar naturally—beyond just exercise. I've spent years studying, testing, and refining strategies that truly move the needle. And now, I'm here to share those insights with you.

I love working with people who have type 2 diabetes. Many start with the belief that they’re stuck with medications and glucose monitoring forever—but within just a few days of changing their meals and habits, they experience a complete shift. As their blood sugar stabilizes and energy levels improve, they rediscover a renewed enthusiasm for life, realizing that diabetes doesn’t have to define their future.

That’s what led me to create Diabetes Rescue.

Diabetes Rescue isn’t just any program—it’s a chance to transform your health, and I’d love for you to be part of it. I’ve helped so many people bring their blood sugar back into range—now it’s your turn!

Stay tuned for details!

This blog is dedicated to Irl Flanagan, who was my friend and grammar mentor. Over the last 20 or so years, he spent countless hours editing my manuscripts and teaching me the intricacies of sentence structure and the true meaning and the proper usage of words.

Irl passed 4 months before his 100th birthday. He held my writing to a high standard, and I honor him by doing the same.

About Me

Most people want to feel better, live lighter, and get their numbers moving in the right direction — weight, blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, energy. But lasting change doesn’t come from willpower or restriction. It comes from small, doable habits practiced day after day.

Peggy Kraus, MA, RCEP, CDCES, is a clinical exercise physiologist and diabetes care specialist who has spent nearly three decades helping people improve their health through simple, evidence‑based lifestyle changes. Her programs are grounded in research and built around habits that lower inflammation, support heart health, balance blood sugar, and make weight loss sustainable.

Peggy has worked with thousands of people, guiding them toward meaningful improvements in their health — from weight loss and lower glucose to better blood pressure, cholesterol, and energy. Her approach is practical, encouraging, and rooted in the belief that anyone can change their health by changing their daily habits.
