Peggy In My Pocket started long before it had a name.
Years ago, I was working with someone who wanted to walk every day — he just kept forgetting. Not because he didn’t care, but because life was full and the day slipped away from him.
He said, “I’m willing to do it… I just lose track of the day.”
So I offered to send him a quick afternoon text — just a tiny reminder.
And it worked!
One short message each day —
“Did you walk?” Or
“It’s a nice day for a walk.”
Nothing fancy. Just a nudge that put walking back on his radar. His blood sugar improved. His weight started to come down. His confidence grew.
Then COVID hit, and everything just… stopped.
Earlier this year, I had almost the exact same conversation with someone else. Same goal. Same struggle. Same need for one simple reminder.
And that’s when it clicked:
People don’t always need more information.
They need a small, steady nudge — a moment that helps them stay on track.
That’s the moment Peggy In My Pocket was born.
